Many people get stressed when taking a test whether it be EQAO or a small pop up quiz. You need to learn how to relax and focus so you are and understand the problem better which will probably raise your mark.
Step 1- While studying don't cram knowledge into your head but try to understand teh answer and the problem. Also try finding you learning style so you know what you should do to study Step 2- Don't study the night before until 12:00. Sleep early and relax. You can just reread your notes but don't try to cram last minute. This will help you calm down and get you peaceful sleep Step 3-Breathe and relax before your test. During your test do everything you can to stay focused(stress ball/fidget toy). Don't worry if other people are done before you and above all don't rush your test. Reread the question a few times until you understand it. Don't be shy to ask questions and when you are done check over your work

On Monday May 1, Grade 6 went on a field trip to the war plane museum. It was super fun! In science we are on a unit of flight and at the museum we learned so many cool facts.
1. Air takes up space - We proved this by putting a paper towel in a cup and dripping the cup in water. When we took the cup out the paper towel was dry! 2. Air has weight - This was super interesting. Did you know that 1 inch square of air from sea level to the edge of the atmosphere weights 7kg! 3. There are only 2 Lancaster bomber planes in the world that fly and 1 is at the Hamilton war plane museums So today we had a challenge to see how many high fives we can give to people. I gave 38 high fives today. When you give high fives you feel super happy and warm inside. It may also make someones day. Inside I also felt happy that I made someone else happy.
"in the joy of others lies our own" I challenge you to give as many high fives in a day. See how it goes :) Something I found surprising about Malala's speech is that she is a very good public speaker. She is serious when she needs to be and she is funny. For example she talked about Justin Trudeau's tattoos. Her speech was very powerful because she talked about the world issues that happen and about how to make a difference she had powerful opinions and facts. She gave facts about when and how she was shot and how they only did harm to themselvs. That was one of my favourite lines.
In class we played a game called Water 4 Life. In this game there were 2 teams. C.A.R (central African republic)and Canada. I was on team C.A.R. So, we had to pick a card which either said to collect 2 water cards or 1 water card or loose cards. After we got 6 water cards we got a water pump Our "water" bucket was out side our class and behind our portable. On the other hand, Canada only had to pick up 5-10 water cards and not loose any. Also, there bucket was right in the middle of the classroom. We had to see who got the most cards. In the end of the game C.A.R got 3 pumps and 5 water cards. On the other hand Canada got 7 pumps and 3 water cards. I think that this was a good game to show the different lives that Canada and C.A.R have. I felt like I learned more about life outside of Canada ad now I will be very thankful about the clean water I get.
Here is a video on autism awarness
In class we are doing a space tomato experiment. We had 2 groups group G and group H. One group had been in space while the others where regular tomato seeds. We don't know which is which. We first put soil in a pot and then put the peat pellet. We put the seed in the peat pellet and then covered it with soil. Them and got a sheet in which we tracked if they germinated and which ones did not. Once we get the results we will submit these results to the University of Guelph. They will track these results and tell us which was which.
A lot of countries are affected by global issues. A global issue a concern that everyone in the world has. Some types of global issues are pollution and global warming. Every country faces this problem and it is a very major issue. Some questions I have about this unit are - what can we as kids do to prevent global issues and can global issues be about policies too? I look forward to researching this topic. If you have any additional information you can write a comment down below.
